The Department of Economics is one of the few old and big faculties in Sri Krishnadevaraya University. Started in 1972, the department has been expanding its teaching, research and extension activities over the last three decades. In fact, this department is one of the earliest faculties of teaching economics in Andhra Pradesh State to formulate and offer a course structure including the compulsory papers in Mathematical Economics and Economic Statistics, the necessary areas that help enhancing the understanding and utility of economic theory at the Post Graduate level.
