With a noble aim of imparting education to all women KSN Government Degree & P.G. College for women was established in the year 1984 with B.A. & B.Com courses. Sri Kalluri Radha Krishnaiah, an industrialist and philanthropist contributed Rs. 2 lakhs in 1989 for the construction of old campus, near Municipal Corporation, Anantapur. The college is named after his parents Kasam Setty Subbaratnamma and Narayana Swamy, thus the college derived the acronym KSN Government Degree College for women.
