IIT Kharagpur is planning to offer Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) courses. IIT Kharagpur will be the first IIT to venture into medical education. The Institute has allocated 3 acres land for the 400-bedded super-speciality hospital named as Dr B C Roy Institute of Medical Science & Research. This institute will be ready by the end of 2017. The hospital will also work on biomedical, clinical and translational research. Drug design and delivery will be other key research areas to which the hospital will contribute.

Chowgule College, Goa’s premier education institute, organized its annual Graduation ceremony at its campus in Gogol, South Goa for the graduating batch of 2014 – 2015. Students turned graduates received the coveted degrees in Bachelors of Science and Arts, Honors and Post Graduate degrees after having completed three years of excellence in academics. 14th May 2015: Jaipur: To felicitate the achievements of the students in academics and sports activities, the IIS University has organized ‘Award Ceremony 2015’ at IIIM auditorium on Thursday.
The students who grabbed second and third positions in academics, members of office bearer council and winners and runners up position holders of various sports competitions were awarded for the session 2014-2015. In total, 300 student achievers were felicitated on the occasion.

Prof. P.K. Garg has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun.
Prof. P.K. Garg has completed B.Tech (Civil Engineering) in 1980 and M.Tech (Civil Engineering) in 1982 from the University of Roorkee (now IIT Roorkee).
He received Gold Medal at IIT Roorkee for coming first during M.Tech programme. He has also received Commonwealth Scholarship Award for doing Ph.D. from University of Bristol (UK), and Commonwealth Fellowship Award to carry out post-doctoral research work at University of Reading (UK).
The anthem of Panjab University is written by renowned lyricist Irshad Kamil. The anthem is titled 'Shano Shaukat'. While interacting with media, Irshad Kamil said, "I have tried to make the anthem as simple as possible. The intention is to make it a classic. Just like a vintage car, it will retain its class even 50 years down the line."
The likes of A R Rahman, Sukhwinder Singh and Pritam Chakraborty have lent their musical acumen for the anthem.
The anthem was formally launched during a function on May 17 2011.
