The Department of Computer Science, Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, has been one of the important centres for the technical education in Haryana and northern region. Since its inception in 1995, the department has been providing state of the art education in the field of computer science.

The department is home to 14 regular (one on EOL) and 20 contractual faculty members and approximately 700 students. The faculty members are well qualified and competent to teach at undergraduate and post-graduate levels. There are five faculty members who have already completed their doctoral research. The remaining 09 faculty members are pursuing research towards accomplishment of their PhD. Degrees. Our faculty and students engage in a broad range of research and teaching activities, spanning the entire spectrum of computer science. The department is engaged in the research areas like Data Mining, Soft Computing, Machine Learning, Mobile and Ad hoc Networks, Software Engineering, E-commerce and Neural Networks.

Four teachers (Prof. Dharminder Kumar, Dr. Yogesh Chaba, Sh. Yudhvir Singh and Sh. Sunil Kumar Nandal) of the department are having major research projects to the tune of Rs. 44.294 Lacs duly sponsored by UGC/AICTE.
