The Department of Food Technology at Guru Jambheshwar University Science & Technology, Hisar has been laying emphasis on quality education and training activities to meet growing demand of food processing industries in addition to pioneering the development of innovative technologies for conservation and processing of raw foods with value addition.

To become a model department for scientific industrial research in the area of food science and technology.
To become an Advanced Centre for Food Analysis aiming to provide guidance to food industries with regard to physical, chemical and microbiological qualities of raw and processed food products.
