The aim of the Department of Biomedical Engineering is to promote health through education & research that bridges, gap between medicine and engineering. The faculty and students of this deptt. play leading role ranging from basic scientific discoveries to the creations, clinical evolutions and commercialization of new technological devices and therapies.

This Department is a premier biomedical engineering platform based on the excellence of our faculty & students and innovative multi-disciplinary education. The course of B.Tech Biomedical Engineering was started in Year 2001 under Guru Jambheshwar University Institute of Engineering & Technology, Hisar with the sanctioned intake of 60 students per year. In 2004 the Department of Biomedical Engineering had become an independent identity under the faculty of Engineering & Technology.

The Department intends to provide best professionals in health services by training the coming generation of Biomedical Engineers with the cultivation of leadership abilities and nurturing the integration of science, engineering & medicine.
