From the very start of the University in 1995, the Department of Mathematics in this University is involved in teaching and research. Department is working with the vision "To Excel in Applications of Mathematics in Science & Engineering with essentiality of the subject for modern world."
The vibrant academic environment of the department is nurtured by strongly motivated faculty and students. The mission of the department is:

Department offers M.Sc. Course at postgraduate level and Ph.D. programme for doctoral research. Besides, M.Sc. courses and Research work, the department also caters the requirement to teach Mathematics papers in the B.Tech./ M.Tech./ B.Pharma courses of the University. Department has started M.Sc. Mathematics programme through distance learning mode from the academic session 2009-10.
