Course Details:

The Certificate of Physical Education (C.P.Ed), is a one-year physical education certificate course in India. The aim of the study program is to encourage candidates to go for various physical activities such as sports & games. The course is suitable for those candidates wants to make career related to fitness, physical health and in sports.

The vision of the Exercise Science Teacher Preparation Program is to prepare candidates initial and advanced professionals who are committed to both lifelong teaching and learning and to the continuous improvement of the educational system in which they work.

The Certification Program is offered through the Division of Science and Physical Education and combines liberal arts learning with teacher preparation.The study is focused on theoretical and practical aspects of Principles and Techniques in an academic discipline such as Learning, Evaluation & Organisation of Physical Education, Drill with Equipments Like Dumbbells, Flag etc, Mass Drill, Athletics, Organisation & Management of Physical Education in School, Organisation & Management of Sports & Games, Psychology, Physiology, Statistics and Physical Education.

Eligibility

The candidate has to pass Higher Secondary (10+2), Education from any Stream, Diploma in Education (D.Ed) or equivalent examination, with minimum aggregate 55% marks such candidates are eligible to take admission in Bachelor’s Degree study program.

Course Duration / Learning Mode

This course requires study requires 1 to 2 years of the time period with an internship in India. The study is based on practical aspects of Physical Education. It’s a Full-Time professional certificate course, but some candidates use part time, correspondence education program and also go for distance learning study option to earn this certificate.

Further Studies

After the successful completion of this course, candidates can also pursue the higher studies and do Master’s in Physical Education (M.P.Ed), M.Phil (Physical Education), Ph.D. (Doctorate in Physical Education), research oriented work in their respective field.

Career Option

The Physical Education Certificate holder recognize as Physiotherapist or Physical Trainer and able to set their own Fitness Center or work as, Physical Education Teacher, Sports Person, Fitness Sports Coach, Fitness Instructor, Aerobic Trainer, Yoga Teacher, etc.
