Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) is a three years Mechanical level diploma course in India. The aim of Mechanical Program is to provide the candidate with the basic and in-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering in a discipline of applied principle of material science, physic for analysis, design, manufacturing and maintenance of the mechanical system.
The diploma is equivalent to Diploma offered by the Technical Education System and other University / Polytechnic in India. The mechanical program develops the candidates for empowering the production personnel to meet the real work.
The study provides quality and training to candidate needed for manufacturing or production industry for technical changes in techniques, technologies, markets and employment patterns.The diploma / certificate study develops skills and expertise in implementing in inclusionary practices and differentiated instruction techniques to help students with special learning needs.The study improves the knowledge, mental ability and an aptitude to think logically techniques.The study is focused on theoretical and practical aspects of specialized educational subjects Like Applied Principles (Mathematics / Physic / Chemistry), Applied Mechanics, Engineering Materials, Engineering Drawing, Computer Basics, Technical Documentation, Strength of Material, Fluid Mechanics, Industrial Management, Metrology and Instrumentation, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC).
The candidate who have to pass 10th or (10 + 2) with additional subjects like, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physic, and English,with minimum aggregate of 50% or an Equivalent Examination, such candidates are eligible to take admission in the diploma / certificate engineering study program.
The Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME), the study requires 3 years of the time period with an internship in India, It’s a Full-Time engineering diploma course. The course is not available for part-time and under distance education mode as it's a practical based study.
After the successful completion of this course, candidates can also pursue the higher studies and do Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or do specialization research-oriented course in their respective field.
Diploma / Certificate holder have an ample career opportunities in Private and Government Sectors . One can recognized as Mechanical Engineer and work as, Assistant Technician, Process Development Technologist, Designing Engineer, Mechanical Engineer (Locomotive), Technical Assistant, Professor, Demonstrator, Instructor, Junior Mechanical Engineer (Defence and Aerospace System), Trainee, etc.
