Latthe Education Society's POLYTECHNIC started in June 1983 on no-grant basis, under Directorate of Technical Education, (M.S.) Mumbai, in three basic branches of engineering Civil, Mechanical and Electrical with an intake of 180 students per year. In a short period of time the polytechnic has made a remarkable progress with flying colors. In 2001-02 a new course Computer Engineering and in 2008-2009 Electronics & Telecommunication has been started with intake of 60 respectively.
Latthe Education Society Polytechnic established in pursuance with the Government of India's policy to increase the role of private participation in the Education sector.
