Course Details:

The Diploma in Civil engineering (DCE), is a three years diploma engineering course in India. The study is designed with an aim to provide basic and in-depth knowledge of Construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment including work like Construction of Bridges, Canals, Roads & Highways, Dams, and Building. The diploma study equips candidates not only with a sound engineering knowledge but also good supervisory and administrative skills which always in the requirement of construction of new building structures, so there is always the need and demand of civil engineer to construct and also maintain & repair existing facilities and structures.

The engineering diploma course is suitable for those candidates to have creative and an innovative approach to solving problems.The Engineering study develops the quality and ability to analyze and interpret diverse, complex data and critical thinking in candidates and they are able to evaluate the design, plans, and projects, effective assessment and management of risk, resources and time.

The civil diploma study develops skills and expertise in implementing in inclusionary practices and differentiated instruction techniques to help students with special learning needs.The study improves the knowledge, mental ability and an aptitude to think logically techniques.The study is focused on theoretical and practical aspects of specialized educational subjects Like: engineering Drawing, Computer Application for Engineering, Building Material, Strength of Material, Public Health Engineering, Thermal engineering, Building Construction & Maintenance Engineering, Concrete Technology, Civil Engineering Drawing, Irrigation Engineering, Environmental Pollution & Control, Transpiration Engineering.

Eligibility

The candidate who have to pass 10th or (10 + 2) with additional subjects like, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physic, and English,with minimum aggregate of 50% or an Equivalent Examination, such candidates are eligible to take admission in the diploma engineering study program.

Course Duration & Learning Mode

The Diploma in Civil engineering (DCE), the study requires 3 years of the time period with an internship in India, It’s a Full-Time engineering diploma course. The course is not available for part-time and under distance education mode as it's a practical based study.
The diploma is equivalent to Diploma offered by the Technical Education System and other University / Polytechnic in India.

Further Studies

After the successful completion of this course, candidates can also pursue the higher studies and do Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or do specialization research-oriented course in their respective field.

Career Options

Diploma / Certificate holder have an ample career opportunities in Private and Government Sectors. One can recognized as Civil Engineer or Land Surveyor, and work as Assistant Engineer (Safety), Associate Field Inspector, Assistant Project Fellow, Junior Supervisor (Project), Chief Executive (Civil & Interior Project), etc.
