B.Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering- This branch of engineering includes basic principles and detailed analysis of various types of equipments and systems for generation, transmission, distribution and utilization of electrical energy. The curriculum of this emerging branch contains the study of electronic devices and circuits that are involved in measurement, instrumentation, control and protection of electrical equipments and conversion systems. As an electrical engineer, an individual can get employment in electricity boards/utility companies as well as engineers and managers. He is also responsible for installation, maintenance, operation of power handling equipments and systems and so forth. The industries, who are manufacturing large electrical machines and equipments, employ engineers in designing, production and testing. Many educational institutions and research establishments also recruit electrical engineers for the post of faculty and scientists.
Electrical and Electronics Engineering, which is the application of the principles of electricity to develop machines, devices and systems, has significantly affected the quality of life. Its study continues to be an exciting proposition. Per capita consumption of electricity is still a measure of any country's development. The fast depletion of fossil fuels and degradation of environment has opened the doors for clean and non-conventional energy resources.
