Sriram Engineering College, a constituent institution of Sriram Educational Trust established in 1993, is making great strides in achieving excellence in technical education since inception. The institution has also shaped 9430 dynamic Engineers and Technocrats as on date. It is fit to be embossed in golden letters that the first batch students of the Mechanical Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering branches of this college secured university gold medals, igniting the pursuit of academic excellence of the institution.Our alumni have spread globally and have occupied premier positions taking their alma mater to glorious heights. Sriram Engineering college is the temple of learning in this remote rural backward village (near Veppampattu Railway station, Perumalpattu, Thiruvallur District) benefiting thousands and thousands of students mostly coming from the economically poor and socially weaker sections of the society, who also happened to be first generation learners.
Sriram Educational Trust was established in the year 1983. Sriram Engineering College was started in the year 1993 with three branches of Engineering courses and now offers the following UG & PG programmes with in-takes as shown below.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA)

The Department of MCA was started in the year 1994. The main objective is to produce high quality professionals to meet the demands of the emerging fields of computer applications. We got accreditation by NBA & AICTE, New Delhi in the year 2007. It provides high quality education to the students. In the last academic year we have acquired 100% result.
We had started an association named “Association of Computer Applications” which focuses on conduct several activates in the department and tuning the students. Many of our passed out students were placed in different MNC companies.
We have a vast and spacious library which comprises of many volumes of subject oriented books. Our laboratory is well equipped with net facility, through which our students are benefitted.
Apart from this, our students had undertaken projects like IBM, TCS, CTS and have own awards and prizes.
We Organized a National Level Conference on “Emerging Trends in Computer Applications” held on March 2010 and a National Level Technical Symposium“TECHSPARX’10” held on the same.
