Located in The Institute was started in 1995 and is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. The Institute is located in a campus of 7.33 hectares, 26 km. from the Secunderabad Railway Station and 22 km. from the Hyderabad Airport. VNRVJIET attempts to integrate classroom learning with industry exposure to ensure the application of knowledge during the course of study it self. VNRVJIET focuses on high quality education and research in the fields of Science,Technology and Engineering. The objective is to prepare young students to act as leaders for the promotion of the economic and industrial growth of the country and to play a creative role in society. The four year course is so structured that it leads to a linear growth and progressive insight into the engineering subjects as well as training in soft skills. We focus on imparting skills on cutting - edge technologies to our students. Quality research in the areas of science and technology is given considerable importance here. Our major strength comes by forging strong industry - academic linkage., Vignana Jyothi society was established ten years ago by a group of like minded industrialists and businessmen of Andhra Pradesh with a view to plough back into the society something that could set the society flourishing. This group comprised successful industrialists, businessmen and professionals who had won recognition for their professional competence and business ethics. Education is the backbone of a society's growth and development. It was therefore felt that maximum contribution to society can be made in this sphere. It was with this background that the Vignana Jyothi Society was formed with the objective of promoting excellence in education in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The society called "VIGNANA JYOTHI" was registered on 21st January 1991.
