With an unambiguous objective to offer opportunities and possibilities available at every step, the excellence in Techno-Education has been laid emphasis by the academicians and intelligentsia of Kunja Binodini Charitable trust. This resulted in the establishment of Hi-Tech Institute of Technology (HIT) in the year 2008 to meet the growing need of present generation towards techno–lead economic development. It is compliance of every detailed feature which ranks it among the top engineering colleges in Bhubaneswar. It has also introduced MBA course into its curriculum in the year 2009, with a view to enhance managerial skill and potential in every student.
While new technologies and processes are being developed all the time, HIT has aimed to provide quality education and ample opportunity to the budding technicians of the future. Practical exposure and equal emphasis is given to personality development of every student in order to empower them in meeting the challenges of the present employment scenario. The Institute is located at Khurda, 24 KMs away from Bhubaneswar which is quite away from the horde of city life. The infrastructure of the Institute is spread over an area of 10 acres campus with features including amusement park, yoga centre, avenue flowers and plants, playground and lot more complementing the environment. An all time splendid environment is created with well equipped classrooms, practical labs and a library with good number of books enriching the knowledge pool, which even ranks HIT among the top engineering colleges in Odisha.

The department of EEE has an intake of 60 students. The department has an excellent infrastructure and facilities to train the students in various fields of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Continuous efforts are made to modernize the laboratory to keep pace with the emerging advances in the field of Electrical Engineering.

The department of Computer Science and Engg. is one of the branch for the four years UG programme in HIT. The curriculum of these courses is meticulously designed by the members of board of studies. The syllabus for the said course is being constantly modified to update the latest developments in the market fields. We provide an excellent infrastructure with latest high end PCs. So that our students come out with knowledge of latest technology in both software and hardware . The internet facility has been extended to all the students round the clock with a speed of 1 MBpS.
