Babu Banarasi Das National Institute of Technology and Management has been established at Lucknow in the year 1998 by Babu Banarasi Das Educational Society under the Chairmanship of Hon'ble Akhilesh Das, Member of Parliament, (Rajya Sabha) in the pious memory of Late Sri Babu Banarasi Das Ji, Ex Chief Minister of U.P.

The Institute is situated at Akhilesh Das Nagar on Lucknow Faizabad National Highway. The campus of the Institute spreads over 100 acres area. The Institute is affiliated to U.P.Technical University, Lko and Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra as per course requirment and is approved by All India Council of Technical Education, Ministry of Human Resourse Development, Govt. Of India, New Delhi and Govt. of U.P. as well. The Institute offers Post Graduate and Undergraduate Degree courses in various streams of Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Computer Applications and Management. Students who seek admission in Free & Paid seat in Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture have to qualify UPSEAT (Uttar Pradesh State Engineering Admission Test) conducted by Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow or other institute approved by Govt. of Uttar Pradesh.This test is held in the month of May in each year, Application forms are available in the Month of January or February.

Students who seek admission in MCA or MBA in Free & Paid seats have to qualify UPMCAT conducted by MNR Allahabad. The test is held in the months of June-July. For admission in any other course, Institute/ University conducts an entrance test in the month of May or June. The application forms are available with the Institute in the month of April-May. Further, in all streams, few Management / NRI seats are available for which desired candidate who satisfies eligibility criterion may contact directly at the Institute. Fees in all the courses is as prescribed by state government / university for concerned courses.
