Every person in this whole world wants to be successful. I don’t think there would be anyone who does not wants success, it is something which is desired by all but achieved by few. Success has different definition for different people. For some it is money, job in a Multinational Company, top notch position in a company, to be a best employee, to be a best employer etc. It has different meaning for different people. No two people can have the same definition of success. For some like Mother Teresa it was serving the society. We have to decide what is the definition of success for us.

The other day I was making my way through a crowded place and to move as quickly as possible I kept on saying “Excuse me”…..Later thought how we excuse ourselves to make our way out to things we don’t want to do. Isn’t it? As for example when we are fearful of doing something but do not want to accept the fact we go for a lame excuse for not doing it.

Goal, is where it all begins. Goal can be defined shortly as - The result or achievement towards which the effort is directed. Every individual should have a goal. Deciding what you really want to do is crucial to the Success, Achievement and Happiness. A Life without aim is like is like a life without purpose and meaning. Meaning gives the direction. Direction gives the hope of arrival at the destination. But, if we are at crossroads and do not know where to go ,one may reach any destination least expected to reach.

Businesses are now structured in a way that almost everyone has some level of decision making ability. Whether the decisions are big or small, they have a direct impact on how successful, efficient and effective individuals are on the job. Till now it was assumed that successful people are basically very smart and hard working. Studies have also found that there is some correlation between IQ and success. But on the other hand it is also true that some people with high IQ has failed in a job, while some with average intelligence have performed exceptionally well.
