The Department of Biotechnology under School of Biotechnology & Health Sciences(SBT& HS) in Karunya University was started in the year 2005, with the financial support from Ministry of Food Processing Industries and Karunya Institute of Technology and Science. Towards the objective to provide excellent teaching, practical training facilities, research facilities and consultancy services in the frontier areas of Biotechnology

Events :

The Department of Biotechnology is conducting a student technical festival " EVOGEN " every year and organizing various events such as training programme, workshops and conferences in national and international level. This helps to know the recent techniques in their area of interest, chance to interact with resource person from institutes and industries, interaction with student community from other institutes.
