The Department imparts training in the area of Computer Networks, Network Security, Software Engineering, Mobile Computing, Database Management Systems, Information security, Web Designing and IT related fields. The faculty members are conducting research work in these areas as well. The UG and PG students are encouraged to take-up projects in the above mentioned fields. The theoretical knowledge of the subjects is enhanced with well equipped laboratories. The course curriculum of the Department is regularly updated from time to time in order to cope up with the upcoming demands of the industry and recent Information Technology developments. B.Tech IT Programme of Karunya University was established in the year 1999, which offers an eight semester Undergraduate Programme in Information Technology. At present the Department instructs 415 students who are supported by experienced and seasoned staff.

=> Promote career guidance & counselling through lectures by senior corporate executives and visiting professors.
=> Provide training for the students to face competitive exams like GATE, GRE,GMAT, TOEFL and prepares them for the interviews.
