It may be relevant to point out that the principles of physics is one of the important pillars of all scientific and technological developments. Not a single instrument on earth works without physics being applied. Hence all B.Sc & BE courses have incorporated physics in their curriculum. Students who are to sail will find physics very useful in their day to day working. We, in the department strive and make them competent in understanding and applying physics in their respective fields. Three members of staff of the department have registered for Ph.D. programme and days are not far off when this department will have only Ph.D`s on its rolls.
