The Management Studies Department of AMET University has been conducting Post Graduate level Management Education programmes since 2001 & has developed courses to suit the industry requirements.
Presently the department is offering 3 Post Graduate (M.B.A.) programmes and 1 under graduate (B.B.M.) programme with the objective of equipping the students with adequate skills and knowledge in General Management functional areas and in the Shipping and Logistics business sectors.

We have expertise in offering courses in the areas of

· Ship Management
· Liner Shipping Business
· Ship Agency Management
· Ports & Terminals Management
· Maritime Law
· Maritime Economics
· Freight Forwarding
· Logistics and Supply Chain Management and
its various sub-sectors viz. warehousing and distribution, project cargo, trucking, express, specialised transport and logistics-focused technology companies.

Faculty resources include

· Academicians with many years of teaching and research experience.
· Professionals with industry experience
· Members of Professional organizations viz. Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers, London.

The department had the advantage of collaborating with Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi during
2003 – 2008 (4 batches of MBA students graduated during this period).

Doctoral (Ph.D.) programme is being offered by the department since 2008 and currently 11 research scholars are pursuing their doctoral studies on various topics connected with Shipping and Logistics management.
