Department of English

AMET English Department grows into a greater prominence with its assuming varied assignments and responsibilities, academic, research and extracurricular.All cadets/students of DG and Non-DG Courses are taught English for enhancing the Cadets/students communication competency. The department prepares and distributes context-based and competency-oriented course materials and handouts for Maritime English and conducts mock interviews and GDs for the placement aspirants and pays individual attention to the Englishly disadvantaged students. Furthermore the Department has taken the onus of training the Angolan and Nigerian cadets/students in English through its highly motivated language trainers.
