Department of Food and Nutritional Science


The Department of Food and Nutritional Science came into existence in the year 2001 under the able guidance of Prof.D.Peramma, Head/Co-Coordinator of the Department while it was called Department of Home Science earlier. The Department is currently offering two post graduate programmes Branch I M.Sc., Clinical Nutritional and Dietetics & Branch II M.Sc., Food Science and Quality Control. The course duration is two years and semester system is adapted Continuous evaluation of the students is one through the year using different criteria – participation in discussions, seminars and panel discussions & Field demonstrations.
