The Chemistry Department has started its journey in 2011. Right from the beginning of journey, the Department has established a tradition of excellence in education and research in the broad area of chemistry. The department is supported by four non-teaching staffs. The department is trying to provide one of the best academic environments in the nation. Also, the department is engaged in research activities on basic and contemporary areas of chemistry, relevant to the society.
The major research fields encompass interdisciplinary areas such as bioinorganic, bioorganic, material, nanomaterial, organometallic, polymer, solid-state, adsorption and catalysis in addition to the traditional areas i.e. inorganic, organic and physical chemistry. The department publishes research articles frequently in the peer reviewed journals.The Department believes in the making of human being good to the society
