Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), is a five to six years Undergraduate professional medicines and surgery degree program in India. The study is designed to provide depth and basic knowledge of the human body to fulfill the requirement of the power of confidence and concentration in young candidates.The course facilitates candidates to understand and gain knowledge of Individual field and specialty of Medicines. This medical field is suitable for those candidates interested in serving mankind by Practises Allopathic Medicines and wants to earn the good professional position in the society. The study improves the knowledge, mental ability and an aptitude to think logically techniques.The study is focused on theoretical and practical aspects of specialized medical subjects Like Human Anatomy, Human Physiology Including Biophysics, Biochemistry, Introduction to Humanities & Community Medicine, forensic Medicines including Toxicology, Dermatology and Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Orthopaedics, Radiotherapy, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics, and Gynaecology. The candidates should have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Education or an Equivalent Examination, for Science stream and additional subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, minimum 60% marks are eligible for pursuing this program.

Entrance Examination

In India, it is mandatory to give an additional Pre Medical Entrance Examination like All India Pre - Medical (AIPMT), Common Entrance Test (CET) which are conducted by Central Board Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi on National Level, for pursuing in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). The eligibility is based on Merit and candidates must make sure that the School or College is approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI). Some Medical Institute also takes entrance test or interview and asked few questions on General Knowledge, Personality, Intelligence Assessment and English Language.

Course Duration & Learning Mode

The medical study requires 5 - 6 year of the time period with an internship in India, It’s a Full Time professional degree course. The study provides Doctor qualification in Medicines and Surgery. The course is not available for part-time and under distance education mode as it's a practical based study.

If Candidate have the desire to pursue higher studies, in General, Medicines and Surgery and wants one to gain more knowledge to accelerate their profession and skills can do specialization or Post Graduation for earning Master's Degree do specialization in Master’s of Surgery or Master’s of Obstetrics and Postgraduate in Medicine and Surgery, Doctor of Medicines (Allopathic), and also do research oriented work with ultimate aim and goal of providing better healthcare services
