Course Details:

The Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS), is a five to six years Undergraduate Degree Medical Course in India. The medical study is designed to provide basic and in-depth knowledge of the Homeopathic medicinal System, by developing skill as a self-directed learning, recognize continuing education needs required for appropriate learning resources to practices Homoeopathic. The course facilitates candidates to understand and gain knowledge of Individual field and specialty of Medicines.

The course is suitable for those candidates interested in serving mankind by providing alternative medicine practices and promote natural health and homeopathic remedies. The study improves the knowledge, mental ability and an aptitude to think logically techniques.The study is focused on theoretical and practical aspects of academic discipline Like Organon of medicine, Anatomy, Materia Medica, Physiology & Biochemistry, Community Medicine, Repertory.

The medical study requires 5 - 6 years of the time period with an internship in India, It’s a Full-Time study program, but candidates can also with Part Time through Correspondence or Distance Education depending upon certain criteria.

Eligibility

The candidates should have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Education or an Equivalent Examination, for Science stream and additional subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, minimum 50% marks are eligible for pursuing this program.

Entrance Examination

In India it is mandatory to give an additional Pre Medical Entrance Examination like All India Pre - Medical (AIPMT) conducted by Central Board Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi on National Level, for pursuing in Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS). The eligibility is based on Merit and candidates must make sure that the School or College is approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

Further Studies

If Candidate has the desire to pursue higher studies in Homoeopathy and wants one to gain more knowledge to accelerate their profession and skills can do specialization in Homoeopathic Pharmacy, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Skin Specialist, Infertility and Sex Specialist. One can also pursue Postgraduate Degree in Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery, Doctor of Medicines (Homoeopathic), or do research oriented work with ultimate aim and goal of providing better healthcare services
