Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (B.A.M.S.) is an Undergraduate integrated medical degree course in India. The degree is widely acclaimed throughout the Country. The study program is designed with an integrated system of modern medicine and traditional Ayurveda to explore the concept of Anatomy, Physiology, Principle of Medicine, Social and Preventive Medicines, Pharmacology, Toxicology, Forensic Medicine, Botany, ENT and Principle of Surgery, etc with applied topics of Ayurvedic. The study program is design under the broad discipline of ayurveda to groom candidates such as, Ayurveda Itihas & Padartha Vijnana, Sanskrit, Dravyaguna Vijnana, Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana, Charaka Samhita, Rog Nidana Evam Vikriti Vigyana, Swastha Vritta & Yoga, Prasuti Tantra Evum Stri Rog, Kumar Bhartiya (Bal Rog). The Research Scholar is a competent Ayurvedic physician (Kayachikitsa) and surgeon (Shalya Chikitsa) to be able to contribute his mite in the medical and health services of the Country.

Eligibility

The candidates have passed their Higher Secondary (10+2) Education or an Equivalent Examination, for Science stream and additional subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Sanskrit are eligible for pursuing this program.

Course Duration & Learning Mode

The medical study requires 5 years of the time period in India, It’s a Full-Time study program.

Entrance Examination

In India it is mandatory to give an additional Pre Medical Entrance Examination like All India Pre - Medical (AIPMT) conducted by Central Board Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi on National Level, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER) Entrance Examination / All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) Entrance Examination
