Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) - Master of Pharmacy is the profession of compounding and dispensing medication. More recently, the term has come to include other services related to patient care including clinical practice, medication review, drug information, etc. Some of these new roles are now mandated by law in various legislatures. . Before we go any further let's enlighten you about the difference between Pharmacy and Pharmacology. Pharmacy is an applied science dealing with the chemistry/action of drugs and its preparation in medicines. It also includes the study of diseases and choices of treatments used to cure it. M. Pharma (Master of Pharmacy) is a Postgraduate academic degree program in the field of Medical Pharmacy. it is one of the oldest honorable degrees, pharmacy is the study of the health science dealing with the preparation, dispensing and proper utilization of drugs. The study program is designed with various practical aspects of the Research Methodologies, Instrumental Techniques, Emerging Areas and Industrial Operating. In short pharmacy is an applied science dealing with the chemistry and action of drugs and for the preparation of medicines. The master degree course requires 2 years of the time period in India. It's a full-time study program. The Master’s Degree Course is specially designed to explore the manufacturing techniques to make a career in the field of Medicines and drugs. The study focus on the academic discipline requires such as Modern Analytical Techniques, Advance in Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry of medical Natural Product, Organic Chemistry, Clinical Pharmacotherapeutics and Toxicology.

Eligibility

Candidates who have passed Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), from any recognized university or any other Institute are eligible to get admission in M.Pharmacy Program in India.

Further Studies

The study program provides better exposure to practical skill after the completion of the program candidates can also go for higher studies and do Ph.D. (Pharmacy) in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical, Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Marketing & Management.
