Department Of Sociology
At the University Campus, the Department of Sociology was comparatively a late entry in the year 1998 among the faculty of Social Sciences which was started under the Chairmanship of Dr. Amir Singh, Professor of Psychology and the then Dean of Academic Affairs.
The subject was started with a view to develop a multitude of trained Sociology workers especially in the Northern part of Haryana with an intake of 30 students and with a newly prepared course design, under annual exam system. Since then, around 500 students have been admitted to P.G. Classes of Sociology.
