Women is an embodiment of courage, a symbol of strength and grace, a mark of class and excellence, an amalgamation of power and elegance exists in her core then why she has been ill treated by the men who can worship goddesses Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati but cannot give respect to a woman. Whether she is Sita of Ramayana, Draupadi of Mahabharata or Damini and Nirbhaya of today’s generation, we can find dushasan in every house. Till when lord Krishna will safeguard women or till when every women will seek for lord Krishna’s help. Now, the time has come when a woman has to find Goddess Durga in her soul to safeguard herself.

The girls of The IIS University at its 20th annual function ‘Virasat 2015’ had showcased a dance-drama ‘Aprajita’ semi-classical ballet depicting the role played by the women in our epics and paid tribute to them down the ages, thus giving the message ‘Bekhauf Aazaad hai Jeena Mujhe, Bekhauf Aazaad hai Rehna Mujhe’.

Ms. Shaina NC, eminent fashion designer, politician and social worker was the chief guest on the cultural eve while guest of honor State President BJP, Mr. Ashok Parnami presided over the function.

Dr. Ashok Gupta, Vice-Chancellor of the University formally welcomed the guests and acquainted them with the achievements of the students in the session 2014-15. Dr. Gupta expressed pride on the fate The IIS University has achieved since its inception.

The programme began in traditional fervour by the invoking of divine spirits- the vandana which was presented in the form of Ganesh Stuti. This was followed by a variety of dances representing the various cultures of the Indian society with a blend of several emotions in perfect harmony.

The representatives of various clubs, society and guild named as VIBGYOR of the IIS University have staged a flag march to represent the dignity and discipline of the university.

Students set an example of glorious culture through various folk dance forms like Gair, Panihari and Manjira. Choreography Dua mesmerized audience with a soothing and soulful contemporary performance which translated emotions into expressions.

Next presentation was a fashion fiesta Creations – 2015 where models of the university unveiled latest fashion trends created by the students with great passion. The collection represented vibrant Africa based on street ware theme, ocean blue color celebrating the most natural and visible form of vigor and vitality of the waves and last not the least the sparkling and spirited collection showcasing lehariya and gota patti in all its ethnic majesty and vibrant beauty.

Also, the audience rejoiced in a soulful expression of captivating indo-western music rendered beautifully by the nightingales of the university. Imbued with the spirit of patriotism, the final set of performance was the spectacular fusion choreography ‘Vande Mataram’.

The programme was a wonderful synchronization of the Classical and the Modern, the Indian and the Western. It was a fusion of colourful costumes, melodious music and crisp choreography; in short, a cultural gala imbued with spirit of bringing together the best of colours, music and dance.

The CD presentation – Reminiscences – gave a quick glimpse of the various activities held in the University throughout the year. The Academic toppers as well as achievers in various cultural and sports activities were awarded on the occasion.

Epahi Das and Shruti Misra were declared Pride of the University, Apoorva Sharma and Garima Arora got the title of Talent of the year and Aanchal Andrews bagged the title Voice of the year.

The programme was a success and everybody enjoyed and appreciated the excellent presentation put up by the young ladies of the university.

    Montage 2015, the 11th Annual Inter-Institute IT fest of International School of Informatics & Management, Technical Campus started on Wednesday with enthralling enthusiasm. The inaugural ceremony “UDGHOSH” started with Vandana and was followed by lamp lighting. Dr. Ashok Gupta, Director, IIIM welcomed all guests and participants and shared the institute’s educational and cultural landmarks of the preceding year. Montage 2015 has a participation of around 400 students from 15 technical institutes all over the country.

    Pennsylvanian Students Visit to The IIS University Concluded

    The six-day visit of a ten-day member student group from Pennsylvania State University , USA to The IIS University concluded on Tuesday. The visit was a part of an agreement signed between the two institutions in the year 2013 for purposes of academic and cultural exchange for mutual understanding and benefit of students from the two countries. This was the third consecutive visit to the university by the Pennsylvanian students.
