Year of Establishment: 2001 The Centre was started in the year 2001 to mark the "Women Empowerment Year". Objective of the centre is to promote women's studies to translate the component of empowerment of women. Centre is designed to act as catalysts for promoting and strengthening women's studies through teaching, research, curriculum field and extension work training and continuing education etc. Centre is planning to work in the area of equality, economic self-reliance, girls education, women rights, laws, social exploitation and awareness activities etc.

Year of Establishment: 1993 The department has been established to coordinate the regional/researches mainly in different branches of social sciences. It undertakes the in-depth study of the multidimensional aspects of regional problems.
