About Govt Badri Prasad Arts and Commerce And Science College, Arang

Established in the year 1965 Govt. Badri Prasad Arts, Commerce and Science College Arang is named after Badri Prasad Garudik who died at the age of 24 in 1965. His mother donated all her land approximately 22 acres to establish a much needed higher education institution in this rural area. The institution is situated on the national highway no. 53 about 35 km. eastward from capital city of Chhattisgarh Raipur where Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University is situated to which it is affiliated.

The Vision of the college is to give quality education and to make students ideal and virtuous persons by holistic education.

Mission
The mission with various objectives of the college stated in the citizen’s charter of the institution is as follows

To import under graduate and post graduate level education in Arst, Commerce and Science stream to the local and rural students.
To fulfill the need of higher education in the local and nearby villages which are economically, socially and educationally backward.
To provide physical education and sports facility to the students and provide them opportunities in the field of sports.
To create opportunities for personality development through NCC/NSS.
To create environmental awareness and make them eco-friendly.
To create awareness about culture and customs of different tribes of the state.
