Department of Prosthodontics Crown & Bridge

Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge is also known as prosthetic dentistry or dental prosthetics, is one of the nine dental specialties pertaining to the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation and maintenance of the oral function, comfort, appearance and health of patients with clinical conditions associated with missing or deficient teeth and/or oral and maxillofacial tissues using biocompatible artificial substitutes. It includes the specialty of implant, aesthetic and reconstructive dentistry. Restoration of patient’s oral function and rebuilding of patient’s smile is done through the use of dental implants, bridgework, dentures, and crowns.
