Association of Private Unaided Dental Colleges in Himachal Pradesh (AOPUDCHP), Ludhiana invites applications for admissions to All India Entrance Test for BDS Admission 2015

AOPUDCHP All India Entrance Test is an yearly exam conducted for admissions to Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in Association of Private Unaided Dental Colleges in Himachal Pradesh (AOPUDCHP), Ludhiana Association Member Colleges:
=> Himachal Dental College, Sunder Nagar
=> Bhojia Dental College & Hospital, Baddi
=> MN DAV Dental College & Hospital, Solan
=> Himachal Institute of Dental Sciences, Paonta Sahib

All India Entrance Test (AIET)is conducted by Association of Private Unaided Dental Colleges in Himachal Pradesh (AOPUDCHP), Ludhiana.

The Himachal Pradesh University will conduct the counselling on behalf of the Govt. of HP through Counselling Committee constituted by the Govt. of Himachal Pradesh for filling-up of State and Management Quota Seats in Government Medical / Dental and Private un-aided Dental Colleges of the State of HP on the basis of Category wise merit list of those qualified candidates of AIPMT – 2015

Intake:

The Private College-wise total seats* are as under: -
=> Himachal Dental College: State Quota -30 seats and Management Quota - 30 seats
=> Bhojia Dental College & Hospital: State Quota -30 seats and Management Quota - 30 seats
=> MN DAV Dental College & Hospital: State Quota -30 seats and Management Quota - 30 seats
=> Himachal Institute of Dental Sciences: State Quota -50 seats and Management Quota - 50 seats

*For category wise (Gen / SC / ST/ OBC / Ex.S/man / Child of DP / WFF / Phy. Handicap / NRI distribution of seats

Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

1. A candidate will be eligible for appearing in the Entrance Examination for BDS course if he/she:

i) is a citizen of India

ii) Has passed 10+2 examinations from any Institution recognized by the State Govt. /Govt. of India with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Cast / Scheduled Tribes or other Backward Classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Bio-technology taken together in qualifying examinations be 40% instead of 50% as prescribed for General candidates. Further for persons for locomotory disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for General PH and 40% marks for SC-PH / ST-PH / OBC-Ph are required. OR

iii) Possesses a certificate of good conduct from the Head of the Institution last attended. OR

iv) B.Sc. Examination of an Indian University established by law in India; provided that he / she has passed the B. Sc. Examination with not less than two out of (Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany), Zoology) subjects securing 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC) and further that he / she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with the Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology and English subjects securing minimum required percentage of marks. OR

Any other examination which, in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the 10 (Medical Group) of an Indian University / Board taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology including practical test in each of these subject with the required percentage of marks.

iv) The Candidate should have already completed or should complete the age of 17 years and must not have completed 25 year of age on 31st December of the year of the concerned competitive examination. The applications of candidates who do not fulfill the age requirements will be summarily rejected. Date of birth as record in the Matriculation / Higher Secondary Certificate / Indian School Certificate will only be valid.

2. The candidates will have to submit the certificates in original at the time of centralized counseling without which the admission shall not be granted.

3. At the time of joining the course the candidate will have to submit a BANK GUARANTEE in favour of allotted institution for the remaining fee / dues of entire course.

The application form must be accompanied by the Photostat Copies of following certificates:- :
a) Certificate of Passing matriculation from an institution recognized by the State Govt. / GOI
b) Certificate of passing +2 examination from an institution recognized by the State Govt. / GOI.
c) Three copies of recent photographs (passport size) duly attested by the Principal of the school / Gazetted officer to be fixed on the form & admit card.
d) Certificate of good conduct from head of the institution last attended.

  • Date of Counseling: 06th September 2015, Sunday, 10.00 am
  • Place of Counseling: Will be informed on the day of Exam
  • Last Date of Joining the Allotted College and Payment of the Fee in the Respective Colleges: 08th September 2015 (04.00 pm)
  • Last Date up to which student can be admitted against vacancies arising due to any stream: 30th September 2015

Selection Process:

Results will be announced on 2nd September, 2015 Wednesday.

Question Papers

i) The test will consist of one paper of 200 marks carrying multiple choice questions.

ii) Duration of test: Two hours

iii) Number of questions (items) : 100

iv) The test is of objective type: The test will contain 100 MCQs of best response type.
