MGPGI Puducherry announces MDS Admission 2016

Mahatma Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Dental Sciences (MGPGI), Pondicherry invites applications for admissions to Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) for the academic year 2016 - 17.

Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) is conducted by Mahatma Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Dental Sciences (MGPGI), Pondicherry.

Applications in the prescribed form are invited from Puducherry Domiciles and NRI/NRI Sponsored/Foreign students for admission to I MDS (Postgraduate) Courses through POSTGRADUATE DENTAL ENTRANCE EXAMINATION – 2016, in MAHATMA GANDHI POSTGRADUATE INSTITUTE OF DENTAL SCIENCES, PONDICHERRY for the academic year 2016-2017

Intake:

Prosthodontics: 1 seat
Oral Pathology & Microbiology: 1 seat
Oral Medicine & Radiology: 1
Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics: 1 seat
Periodontics: 1 seat
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery: 1 seat
Total : 6 Seats

Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:
=> Candidates who are completing their Internship not later than 31.03.2016 are eligible to apply.

=> Candidates seeking admission under Puducherry Domiciles Category should be an Indian National and a domicile/resident of Puducherry.

The candidates can apply in the application form downloadable at http://mgpgi.puducherry.gov.in from 14.12.2015 together with the prescribed fee by a crossed Demand Draft only drawn in favour of the DEAN, MAHATMA GANDHI POSTGRADUATE INSTITUTE OF DENTAL SCIENCES, payable at Pondicherry. Money Orders/Postal Orders/cheques etc. will not be accepted.

=> The application form duly filled in with all enclosures (Attested copies of certificates etc.) should be sent in a sealed cover super scribed as “Application for admission to PGDEE-2016” addressed to the DEAN, MAHATMA GANDHI POSTGRADUATE INSTITUTE OF DENTAL SCIENCES, Gorimedu, PONDICHERRY– 605 006 on or before 08.01.2016 by 05.30 P.M., either in person or by Registered Post.

Fee Details:

Application fee for Puducherry Domiciles:
A) General/MBC/OBC Category : Rs 2500/-
B) SC Category : Rs.750/-

Application fee for NRI/NRI Sponsored/Foreign students : Rs. 5000/- (in Indian rupees) or equivalent in US dollars

Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) Important dates section aims to list all important dates such as date of availability of form, last submission date, result date, counselling date, etc.

• Registration starts: 14th December 2015
• Last Date of Submission of Application Form: 08th January 2016
• Date of Post Graduate Dental Entrance Examination 2016: 24th January 2016

Selection Process:

Admission to I MDS Course is based on the marks obtained in the PGDEE-2016 and subject to further orders, if any, passed by appropriate authorities / Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. A separate merit list will be prepared for the candidates appearing under NRI/NRI Sponsored/Foreign Students quota.
