MDS Admission 2015 at Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala

Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala invites applications for Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) for the year 2014 - 15.

Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) Admission is conducted by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala.

Applications are invited for the Entrance Examination for admission to MDS Courses for the year 2015 to the State Quota seats in the Government Dental Colleges at Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode and Kottayam in Kerala and to the 50% seats available in the Self Financing Dental colleges in Kerala.

MDS Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

=> Applicant should have passed the BDS degree from an approved Dental College and duly awarded by any one of the Universities in Kerala.

=> Applicants who have completed one year(12 months) Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship (CRRI) as per DCI regulations in an approved/recognized Dental College on or before 31-03-2015 are eligible to apply.

=> Be an Indian Citizen of Kerala Origin.

=> There is no upper age limit for General Quota (GQ)candidates

=> For Service candidates from the Department of Health Service (ie,the candidates whose retirement age is 56)the upper age limit will be 48 years for Post Graduate Dental Courses as on 01-01-2015.

=> For MES and IMS candidates, upper age limit will be 52 years as on 01-01-2015.

Application Procedure for MDS:

Candidates are advised to refer to official notifications /documents for detailed application procedure. IndCareer.com published details for informational purpose.

=> All candidates seeking admission to the MDS Courses - 2015 , Kerala can apply in the online application form available from 11.12.2014 to 22.12.2014, 3 p.m. in the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and then remit the required fee at any branches of State Bank of Travancore using the bank chalan available with the printout of the online application.

=> The candidates outside Kerala State can remit the application fee by way of a Demand Draft for the requisite amount, drawn from any nationalized bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram.

=> Application fee for Genertal Quota and Service Quota candidates is RS.1000/- (Rupees Thousand only) and in the case of SC/ST candidates and those eligible for SC/ST benefits as per G.O.(Ms) No. 25/05/STSCDD dated 22.03.2005 is Rs.500/- (Rupees Five hundred only).

=> Service Quota candidates seeking admission in General Quota also, should pay extra Rs.1000/-.Application fee once remitted will not be refunded under any circumstances.

=> Application forms and prospectus will not be available from the Dental Colleges or from the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.

Candidates are required to submit following:

Self Attested photo copies of the following documents to be attached (i to vii ):
(i) BDS. Degree/Pass Certificate.
(ii) House Surgency (CRRI) Certificate. In the case of candidate who are undergoing internship in the Dental colleges of the state, a certificate from the concerned Principals to the effect that he/she will complete internship by 31-03-2015 should be produced.

(iii) Permanent/Provisional Registration of the Kerala Dental Council or any other State Dental Council constituted under the Indian Dentist Act, along with annual renewal certificate if applicable.

(iv) Certificate to prove age.

(v) Relevant page of the Secondary School Leaving Certificate / Indian Passport/Birth certificate showing the candidate’s or either of the parent’s Place of birth in Kerala. In case certificate of parent is attached, corroborative certificate to establish the relationship between the parent and the candidate should also be attached.

(vi) Certificate of disability from the District Medical Board for claiming PD reservation, as per Clause VII.3 of the prospectus.

(vii) Any other relevant certificate / document required along with the application.

(viii) Original Fee receipt/DD of the amount paid in bank. Certificates in the prescribed format to be obtained along with the printout of the
application itself:

(x) Certificates obtained from Revenue officers not below the rank of Tahsildars should be obtained in the application form for verification of community in the case of SC/ST candidates.

(xi) Those who claim relaxation of marks/reservation applicable for SEBC candidates, community certificate to that effect and income certificate has to be obtained from the concerned revenue authorities. SEBC benefit will be subject to income limit prescribed.

(xii) Nativity Certificate as per Clause IV (b) of the prospectus , should be obtained in the prescribed

Additional documents to be enclosed by the service quota candidates :
(xiii) Declaration to the effect that he/she has not undergone PG Dental course under the service quota, previously and countersigned by the Head of the Department should be furnished.

(xiv) Service details, in original, from the Accountant General, Kerala.

(xv) Details of Service from the Head of the Department in the prescribed format.

Fee Details:

=> Application fee for Genertal Quota and Service Quota candidates is RS.1000/- (Rupees Thousand only)

MDS Important Dates:

MDS Important dates section aims to list all important dates such as date of availability of form, last submission date, result date, counselling date, etc.

• Date of Examination MDS 2015: 11.01.2015 (Sunday), 10 am to 1pm

Selection Process:

=> All candidates including Service Quota candidates shall have to qualify the “ Post Graduate Dental (MDS) Entrance Examination,Kerala-2015” to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination (CEE), Government of Kerala.

=> The candidates who satisfy the eligibility conditions as per clause IV of the prospectus for Admission to MDS courses-2015 alone will be considered for admission to MDS Courses.

=> The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations shall prepare and publish the Rank List and the Category Lists of SC, ST, SEBC and PD of General candidates who qualify in the Entrance Examination for allotment and admission under General quota seats .

=> The CEE will forward a list of Service candidates who qualify in the Entrance Examination to the Director of Medical education. The selection of the Service Quota candidates shall be made from the Rank list furnished by the Director of Medical Education and approved by the Post Graduate Selection Committee as per clause IV (4.8) of the prospectus.
