Course Details:

Master in Mass Communication (MMC) is a two years postgraduate Mass Communication degree course in India. Mass Communication is the study of mass media including all types of medium used to convey information to the audience.

The aim of the study program is to teach honesty and progressive journalism to the candidates and to remove the darkness and ignorance from the society. The course is designed to provide intensive theoretical and practical knowledge in various media organization to research and an integrated perspective of media functioning along with a fair amount of exposure to the technical and analytical skill within the candidate.
The course of study is designed to provide in-depth knowledge, information, techniques and about the activities associated with mass communication in a comprehensive manner. The master’s course of study is suitable for those candidates wants to increase their knowledge for accelerating their career by exploring and acquire a critical understanding of mass media and journalism.The study is focused on theoretical and practical aspects and principles techniques in an academic discipline such as Principles of Mass Communication, Print Media, Reporting, Editing and Specialized Writing, Photography and Photojournalism, Communication Skills, New Media Technology, Media Law and Media Ethics, Media Organization and Management, Media Research International and Intercultural Communication.

Eligibility

The candidate has to complete Bachelor Degree like Bachelor of Mass Communication (BMC) or any other Bachelor Degree with relevant subjects or equivalent examination, with minimum aggregate 55% marks, such candidates are eligible to take admission in Master’s degree study program.

Course Duration / Learning Mode

This course requires study requires 2 years of the time period in India, It’s a Full Time professional degree course, but some candidates use part time, correspondence education program and also go for distance learning, online study option to earn this degree.

Further Studies

After the successful completion of this course, candidates can also pursue the higher studies and do Ph.D. (Doctorate in Mass Communication), and specialization or research oriented work in their respective field.
