    Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mumbai has joined hands with USA based Washington University to provide Executive MBA (EMBA) program in Mumbai. EMBA is modelled around the Washington University's internationally recognized program in USA and China. The joint Executive MBA program with Fudan University in Shanghai is ranked No. 6 in the world by the Financial Times.

    JEE Advanced 2014 will not be computer based

    The joint Admission Board of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) has decided that JEE Advanced 2014 will not be computed based. "There will no changes for the 2014 exams. We will follow a systematic approach before implementing the computer-based test. The board will set up a committee to study the online process and only then will implement it in future," said NK Panigrahi, JEE-Advanced 2014 chairman.

    In a bid to enhance the autonomy of the IIT system, IITs will also be increasing the faculty strength from around 4000 presently to 16000 by 2020 enabling the creation of a large pool of high quality faculty and researchers to meet the demands of a nation in high trajectory growth.

    IIT Bombay placed 60 % of students in first round of Campus selection

    Indian Institute of Technology – Bombay has placed 60% of students in first phase of campus selection this month. The number of global companies visiting the campus has doubled. Placed students were from B Tech, M tech and PHD. Second round of placement will start from the month of January 2012. Companies visiting the campus are from Taiwan, Japan and Singapore.

    IIT Bombay to host 15th annual science and technology festival “Techfest 2012” from 6th to 8th January 2012. Techfest will host lectures from Venkatraman Ramakrishnan, Karlheinz Branderburg, David Griffiths etc. MIT Media Labs, Aldebaran Robotics, Disney Research will be participating in the event.
