    Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mumbai has joined hands with USA based Washington University to provide Executive MBA (EMBA) program in Mumbai. EMBA is modelled around the Washington University's internationally recognized program in USA and China. The joint Executive MBA program with Fudan University in Shanghai is ranked No. 6 in the world by the Financial Times.

    According to report published by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), 17 Indian universities have been included in Asian Universities Ranking 2014. Six new universities have found place this year as compared to last year. QS conducted the survey in association with non-profit organisation The Indian Centre for Assessment & Accreditation (ICAA) in New Delhi.

    Prof Prakash Gopalan has been appointed as new director of Thapar University. Prof Prakash Gopalan is former Dean of Student Affairs at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. Prof Gopalan was associated with IIT Bombay as a professor in the Department of Metallurgical Engineering and Material Science for over two decades.

Techfest will host lectures from Venkatraman Ramakrishnan, Karlheinz Branderburg, David Griffiths etc. MIT Media Labs, Aldebaran Robotics, Disney Research will be participating in the event.
