Department of Economics

Department of Economics was established in 1971. P.G.Department of Economics, Sambalpur University is one of the advance Centres for Post Graduate teaching and research in India. It is famous for Quantitative Economics and Public Economics. It is the Department for Research Support (DRS) sponsored by U.G.C. since last ten years. Students of this Department are well placed in most of the institutions of National and International repute. Faculties of this Department are involved in consultancy services needed by the Central Government, State Government and financial institutions and also in different research projects.
