The Textile Chemistry Department is the oldest department in the faculty of Tech. & Engg., whose existence dates back to 1890 when artisan courses were being offered in Bleaching, Dyeing and Sizing. The department has the infrastructure for catering the needs of the industries in the area of wet processing of textiles and allied areas as fiber science and its applications. The department has close interaction with industry and research associations and many of the graduates serving at the top level in national/international companies.
