The Department of Linguistics offers courses in core branches of linguistics such as Morphology, Phonology, Syntax, Semantics and in various interdisciplinary areas such as Pragmatics, Semiotics, Psycholinguistics, Computational linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Applied linguistics, Cognitive Linguistics, Historical Linguistics and others. The study of Linguistics would be beneficial to students from various disciplines such as Language and Literature Studies, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy and Education.
