Every person working in an organization aspires to grow in career and dreams to be at the top of the
ladder one day.
To promote somebody to the higher step, two questions need to be answered –
1. Has the person prepared himself to take charge of the higher position?
2. If he is promoted, who would take his position?
This demands that in order to move ahead, every manager should groom his successor, who can take his position.
If one tries to only satisfy what boss wants, he may not satisfy the organizational requirements but, if one tries to satisfy organizational requirements, boss as well as interested parties will automatically get satisfied.

With all the gossip and mind games, the work environment turns political. And many a times you become victim in spite of working honestly.

Its been reflected in various studies that Listening accounts to 45% of our day to day communication.Although it holds such a major portion of our communication, has anyone been trained by parents or teachers on how should one listen.
Tips for Screening Test at SSB
Screening test at the SSB can be very tricky. It is based on two Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests followed by the Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PPDT). The OIR tests are verbal and non verbal which are generally very easy. If you practice from any of the reasoning books, you will be able to do well. Candidates are normally rated in a scale of 1 to 5 where 5 is the worst and 1 is the best. Nearly 80% of the candidates achieve the rating of 3, which is acceptable. The real test therefore, is the performance in PPDT.
