Department of Physical Education
The School of Physical Education was established in July 1990 offering B.Sc. in Physical Education, Health Education and Sports. In due course this course was phased out and replaced by B.P.E. and M.P.E. & Ph.D. also started.
The emphasis is always placed on quality due to which teaching is imparted by well qualified regular teachers and visiting faculty with adequate equipments and infrastructure.
It is encouraging to note that regularly students of this department qualify for NET/SLET, acquire Ph.D. degree and employed in higher education, school education, forces and private sectors.
Still, growth and development is in sight so that we synchronize well with the progress in the field of physical education.
