Sunil Mittal awards PGDM degree to NDIM Students

New Delhi Institute of Management organized its 18th annual convocation ceremony in the college auditorium. The ceremony was solemnized by the presence of the Parents of the new graduates, illustrious Dignitaries from leading Public sector Financial Institutes, other corporate Stalwarts and the faculty members of NDIM. Mr. Sunil Bharti Mittal, Founder, and Chairman of Bharti Enterprises graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. New graduates were addressed by the Guest of Honor Shri T.K.A. Nair, principal secretary and advisor to former Prime Minister of India and Mr. B. P. Singh, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India. The convocation ceremony started with the welcome speech of Dr. Tina Singh, Registrar-NDIM. Chief Guest Mr. Sunil Bharti Mittal delivered the convocation address and distributed degrees to the graduating students.

Speaking on the occasion, he shared his own personal experience in setting up the venture and making it as the third largest global telecom. He highlighted various difficulties faced by entrepreneurs of his time and motivated students to take up entrepreneurship as the career. After his address, he also conferred “Business Excellence Award” too few first generation entrepreneurs. Students of NDIM were feeling proud and delighted after receiving PGDM degree from telecom tycoon Mr. Sunil Bharti Mittal. Convocation ceremony ended with the vote of thanks by Mr. V. M. Bansal, Chairman-NDIM. During his closing address, he highlighted few of the initiatives which made NDIM as one of the premier management institutes in India.

Banaras Hindu University (BHU), India's premier university, organised its 96th convocation ceremony on Amphitheater Ground on Thursday 27th March 2014 Degrees were conferred upon 10,757 students and 29 meritorious students were awarded medals on the occasion. Padma Vibhushan Dr. Jayant Vishnu Narlikar, Inter-University Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics was the chief Guest. While delivering convocation address, Dr. Jayant Vishnu Narlikar emphasised that education and research should go together.
