Department of Control and Instrumentation Engineering

Instrumentation and Control Engineering play a vital role in any modern industry. The Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering started in the year 1987. The Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering offers B.Tech degree course in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, M.Tech degree courses in the following specializations viz., Control and Instrumentation, Process Control and Automation and Ph.D program. The department has established the laboratories namely Instrumentation lab, Analog and Digital Circuits Lab, Virtual Instrumentation Lab, Process Control Lab. The department has been equipped with the research centers such as Centre for Advanced Process Control and Biomedical Instrumentation. Advanced Process Control Lab, Advanced Biomedical Instrumentation Lab has been setup under DST-FIST program 2009 (Fund for Improvement of S&T Infrastructure in Universities & Higher Educational Institutions).

Infrastructure :

Advanced Process Control :
The proposed Equipments will have the entire infrastructure facilities required to adequately model, simulate and analyze any kind of research in the field of Instrumentation design and process control techniques

Bio Medical Lab :
=> Physiological Sensors along with Signal Conditioners – ECG, Respiration, Heart Rate, Body Temperature –Power Lab
=> PC based EEG monitoring

Process Control Lab :
The department has established facilities in Research to the use of both the students and the faculty. To Design and implementation of controllers for different processes.

Industrial Instrumentation Lab :
The department has a centralized instrumentation facility which houses many sophisticated research instruments for the use of both the students and faculty.

Analog & Digital Electronics Lab :
The department has established facilities in Research to the use of both the students and the faculty. To provide exposure to electronic circuits design and its application towards instrumentation.

Virtual Instrumentation Lab :
The department has a virtual instrumentation lab facility provided with NI Lab VIEW which is a graphical development platform design for Engineers and Scientists.

Department Library :
ICE department library is available for the department faculty and students for reference. It consists of text and reference books in different disciplines. It has a total number of 1122 Books in the areas of Basic Electrical and Electronics, Machines, Measurements, Control Systems, Analog and Digital Electronics, VLSI Design, Neural Networks, Fuzzy logic control, Microprocessor and Microcontroller, Electric circuits, Biomedical Instrumentation and competitive exam books.
