    H.N.B.G.U. Srinagar has started B.P.Ed. programme under Self finance scheme on the basis of permission granted by Northern Regional Committee of N.C.T.E. under section 15(B) (a) of the N.C.T.E. act, 1993 through letter no.F.NRC/NCTE/F-7/datedSep.09.2006 at Srinagar campus. The Department of Physical Education comes under Art faculty and B.P.Ed. programme is coordinated by Prof. J.P.Pauchari, H.O.D.Sociology Deptt. This is one year teacher’s education course in Physical Education. Fifty seats are approved from the session 2006-07. Till now three batches have been passed out and fourth is running smoothly. The proceeding for starting the M.P.Ed. programme at department are in progress.
