About

Robotic Engineering deals with the design, construction, operation, and application of robots, as well as computer systems for their control, sensory feedback, and information processing. It deals with automated machines that can take the place of humans in dangerous environments or manufacturing processes or resemble humans in appearance, behavior, cognition. Robotics is a fast growing field as technology advances; researching, designing, and building new robots serve various purposes, domestically, commercially, or militarily. Many robots do jobs that are hazardous to people such as defusing bombs, mines and exploring shipwrecks.

Programs in robotics engineering teach students how to develop and construct robotic devices for a variety of commercial, manufacturing and security use. Both undergraduate and graduate degree in Robotic Engineering combine elements of electrical engineering, computer science and mechanical engineering.
