Course Details:

The Postgraduate Programme Agribusiness Management (PGP- ABM), is a two years postgraduate Agricultural Business Management degree course in India. Agribusiness emphasis in the various business involved in food production, such as farming and contract farming, seed supply, agricultural chemicals, farm machinery, wholesale and distribution, processing, marketing and retail sales.

The master study develops the quality of management of personnel resources, enhance their knowledge regarding agriculture business, The course is suitable for those candidates wants to increase their knowledge for accelerating their career by exploring and acquire a critical understanding of Agribusiness Management.The course is designed to provide in-depth knowledge and information and techniques about the various business involved in food production in a comprehensive manner. The study is focused on theoretical and practical aspects and Principles Techniques in an academic discipline such as

Management Principles & Values, Accounting & Financial analysis, Quantitative Techniques, Managerial Economics, Environmental & Agribusiness Management, Marketing, Financial Management for Agribusiness, Research Methodology in Agribusiness Management, Production & Operations Management, Human Resource Management, Business Law, Computer Application, Material Management, Seed Production Technology, Livestock Management, Strategic Management,, Agrochemical & Technology Management.

Eligibility

The candidate has to complete Bachelor’s Degree in Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (B.Sc.Agriculture), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or any other Bachelor’s Degree with relevant subjects like Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or equivalent examination, with minimum aggregate 60% marks, such candidates are eligible to take admission in Master study program.

In India, some institutes and universities conduct their own entrance examination to get admission to the master's degree course.

Course Duration / Learning Mode

The master’s study requires 2 years of the time period with an internship in India, It’s a Full Time professional degree course. The course is not available for part-time and under distance education mode it's a practical based study.
