The Icfaian Foundation has set up the Icfaian School of Management (ISM) at Hyderabad to offer the Transworld MBA program to students in India. ISM takes care of student needs by providing a stimulating learning environment, a team of experienced and qualified faculty, a well equipped library and an excellent computer lab with the latest software and hardware. Students also get unlimited access to the Internet.
At the end of the program, ISM provides placement assistance to its students. The first two batches are well placed in reputed organizations all over the country. In the current placement season which has started in Dec 2000, the entire class of 2001 has been placed in the first two weeks itself. Faculty : ISM has a team of experienced and qualified faculty. Most of the faculty members have rich industry experience. They make the classes interesting and effective through a strong application orientation. Faculty members are well read and keep themselves informed on the latest developments in their area of specialization. Lectures at ISM are highly interactive. During case discussions, students do most of the talking with the faculty only playing the role of facilitator. In short, ISM faculty believe that their duty is to 'create a learning environment' rather than 'teach'.
