We believe that knowledge, expertise and life-long learning are gained through critical analysis and this serves as a base for professional excellence. A nurse should attain competence by utilizing the advanced technologies which impacts health and nursing. A nurse must be aware of the changes in the nursing domain. The graduates must be well prepared to face the societal changes and adopt the rapidly changing technology in order to provide high quality care to the level of consumer satisfaction.
HEALTH:

We believe that the active membership in professional bodies is the best way for nurse to focus, unite and act to solve the eventual challenges facing the profession.

PERSON:
We believe that the nursing client, a bio-psychological being is in constant interaction with the changing environment and striving to maintain a dynamic equilibrium with the environment. Every individual’s perception related to the health becomes cues for nursing intervention.

COMMUNITY:
We believe that the nurses are the primary care providers in the community. It is based on their constant presence and expert knowledge in designing health related activities autonomously and in implementing the principles of Primary health care in accordance with the national health policy.

TEACHING-LEARNING PROCESS:
We believe that the teacher is a facilitator and her major role is to provide the environment conductive for learning where a learner can manifest her inner potentials.

TEACHER:
Nursing faculty believe that the learning is effective only when it is self directed, problem-based activity imparted with a strong foundation of nursing values.

RESEARCH:
We believe that Nursing is a discipline that uses research as a process to develop a distinct body of knowledge. A professional nurse prepared at baccalaureate level should study the problem situation from their practice and able to collaborate the research findings which enable them to build up their professional career.
